Assistance to Widows, destitute families, children of SC community is provided by organising skill upgradation training.
Assistance to physically handicapped persons, laprotic families, construction of Old Age Home and Day care centres.
Rs 5100/- as a KANIYADAN is given to the daughter of a family of SC community living below poverty line at the time of her marriage.
Rs 200/- pm as old age pension to senior citizens who are aged 60 years and above.
Rs 200/- pm to handicapped persons.
Financial assistance of Rs 10000/- to families in case of un-natural death/accidental death.

1-                Indira Gandi Priyadarshni Vivha Sagun Scheme:-

          Rs 5100/- as a KANIYADAN is given to the daughter of a family of SC community living below poverty line at the time of her marriage. The age of girle should be at least 18 years at the time of marriage.

2-                Financial Assistance for the marriage of girls of Scheduled Caste Widows and destitute women.

Under this scheme Schedule Caste widows living below poverty line are given Rs. 15,000/- each for the marriage of the girls provided that age of the girl should be at-least 18 years application form is given before date of marriage.

3-                House Scheme:

Scheduled Caste/Vimukt Jaties/tapir-was Jaties persons are being provided Rs. 50000/- for the construction of Pucca House and Rs 10000/- for repair purpose. Conditions of giving subsidy are:-1- House of the applicant should be Kacha, not worth living. Applicant should have at-least 50 square yards plot on his name and he is living below poverty line.

4-                Environmental Improvement in Scheduled Castes Basties:-

Under this scheme the grant-in-aid up to a maximum amount of Rs.5000/ are provided for the pavement of streets & drainage of Scheduled Castes Basties & Provisions of public Latrins. Eligibility conditions are:- 1-25% of the Scheduled Castes Basties should be Scheduled Castes. 2-The village Panchayat shall undertake responsibility to maintain facilities.

5-                Monetary Relief to the victims of Atrocities:-

Under SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocity) Act 1989, rule 1995, Financial- Assistance are given those Scheduled Castes persons who are victimized by non Scheduled Castes persons. The Amount of compensation for the loss of Scheduled Caste persons ranges from Rs. 15000/- to Rs. 2,00000/-.

6-                Protection of Civil Rights Act 1995

 Under this Act following schemes were formulated by Haryana Govt. for the welfare of Scheduled Castes persons.:-

A-            Inter Caste Marriage Scheme:-

A non Scheduled Castes boy who marries a S6 girl and vice-versa the concerned newly married couple is given as a cash grant of Rs. 10,000/- and fixed Deposit of Rs. 15,000/- in the joint account this scheme is being implemented for removed of caste consideration from the     of the people

B-  Incentive to the Village Panchayats for their outstanding work:-

Incentive of Rs. 5000/- per Gram Panchayats which do outstanding work for the welfare of Schedules Castes like removal of untouchability pavement of streets, enrolment of girls etc.

C-  Debates & Seminars on removal of untouchability:

Schedules Castes persons are given legal Aid for defending and instituting Civil & Criminal cases against the non Scheduled Castes persons Legal Aid is provided according to the Law Manual.

7-    Tailoring Training to Schedules Castes Widows & Girls:-

There are seven tailoring centres in the seven blocks of the District Gurgaon. Scheduled Castes girls not below 14 Years and Scheduled Castes widow between the age of 18 to 45 years and Scheduled Castes work are given stipend @ 100/- per Month. On the satisfactory completion of one year training course, each trainee is awarded a new sewing machine free of cost by the Deptt. So that she may be able to earn livelihood.

8-     Meritorious inventive to scheduled Castes students who secure 1st Division from Post Graduation including Medical Engineering Agriculture & Veternary:-

Main objective  of the scheme is to promote Higher Education among Scheduled Castes students. Incentive is given to those students who secure 1st Division in the first attempt. There is no ceiling of Income of parents/guardians, pattern of incentive money is as under:-

 9-   Post Metric Scholarship for Scheduled Castes Students:-

This is central Govt. sponsored scheme for the welfare of SC Students who are studying in Technical/Professional Colleges. Income of parents should not be more than Rs. 100,000/- per year. Application forms are received from this office & taken through educational institutions. Scheduled Castes students who are studying in Non Technical/Professional Colleges out of State are also given Stipend form this office. The value of Scholarship includes Maintenance allowance, Tuition fees, Examinations fees Library fees, Sports fees etc.

10-  State Harijan Educational Welfare Scheme:-

Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes students are given stipend to promote education among them. Student should study in Haryana State Colleges or those colleges who are situated in the area of erstwhile Punjab State & University. Rates of stipend range between 50 per month & 200 per month.

11-  Students Loan Scheme:-

  Main object of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the Post Metric/Post Graduate Scheduled Castes students for the purchase fo Text Book & Stationery articles. Conditions of eligibility are:- The SC students whose Parents/Guardians are Gazetted officers & Income Tax Payee are not eligible for grant of Interest Free Loan. Under this scheme training courses such as JBT/Overseer Training/Pharmacy Training/Inspector-training/Sub-Inspector training are not eligible. Under this scheme pattern of loan is as under.

(i) Post Metric                                         800-00 per year per student.

(ii) Post Graduation                                 1500-00        -do-

(iii) Degree  in Agriculture, Technical Medical, Veternary 2000-00 per year per student.

12-  Fincacial Assistance for Higher Competitive Entrance Examination to Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes Candidates::-

 The object of the scheme is to enable SC/BC candidates to avail postal/Classroom coaching is civil services Exam conducted by the UPSC/HP SC/ Railway recruitment board/Banking recruitment board any other recruiting agency in various Private Professional Civil institutions. Besides this personal, Postal, Coaching for, pre entrance examination is provided in examination conducted by the UPSC and Rs. 3000/- are given those who take coaching for examination conducted by the Hp SC/LIC/GIC. Income of the parents should not be more than Rs. 44500/- per year.

13-  Scheme pf Hostel for Scheduled Castes girls and boys:-

The main objective of the scheme is to provide Hostel facilities for SC girls and boys studying middle, high Secondary schools colleges & Universities. Both the State Govt. and voluntary organization are eligible to receive assistance under this centrally sponsored scheme. In case of voluntary agencies financial assistance is given only for addition to existing hostels. Hostels. Hostel should be constructed at any place where the concerned educational institution is situated keeping in view the concentration of SC population in particular place where the educational facility is inadequate.

     Founding Pattern is :- Financial Assistance is provided to State Govt On 50.50 matching basis for construction of hostel building for up to 100 in mates. In respect of non govt. institution financial assistance is provided only for expansion of existing hostels on the basis of 45% central share 45 % State share and 10% is to be born the non Govt. Organizations themselves.

14-    Coaching and Allied Scheme:-  

             The Scheme aims at assisting students belonging to SC/OBC and minorities by way of special coaching. Institutions of repute, both Public and Private, which are running coaching courses, and have achieved distinction during the preceding 3 years, in terms of success rate of candidates coached by such organizations will be eligible for assistance under this scheme.

          Condition of Eligiblity:-

A-       Only students belonging to SC/OBC and minority having family income Rs. 1,00000/- per annum will be eligible for assistance. The institution should have required faculty members, either in the pay roll or on Part Time basis for giving personal attention to students. The institution should have Premises, Library and required hardware for imparting coaching.

        Besides above scheme, the following schemes of this Deptt are being implemented by Education Deptt. For the Welfare of SC & BC students

    1-     Scheme of opportunity cost to SC studying in 6th to 8th class.

    2-     Grants for the purchase of books & stationery articles to SC students in 6th to 10+2 class.

    3-     Special coaching for SC students

   4-     Pre-Metric scholarship to children of those engaged in Unclean Occupation i.e scavenging toning & flaying, dyeing .

    5-     Metric scholarship to girl students belonging to scheduled Castes.

    6-     Welfare of Denitrified tribes award of stipend schemes

    7-     Scheme for financial assistance to SC girls students studying in B.Sc, Home Science Courses.
